DAI, a global consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from senior and mid-level candidates for the long-term position of Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an anticipated municipal water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) program in West Africa.

Experts with experience in some or all the following areas are encouraged to apply:

· Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and/or civil society/governance project management

· Municipal water supply and sanitation services

· Decentralization policies and transfer of institutional responsibilities

· Public Private Partnerships (PPP) in WASH service delivery

· Municipal level organizational development (capacity building, internal reform, and adaptive management)

· Capturing lessons learned and knowledge transfer

· Capacity development and training

Requirements

· Advanced degree (master’s or higher) in a relevant field

· Strong communication skills - both written and oral - in French and English

· At least five years of management and technical experience

· Experience in Francophone Africa

· Experience on USAID and/or international donor programs desirable

Les individus avec de l’expérience dans les domaines suivants sont encouragés à soumettre leur candidature :

· Eau, Hygiène et Assainissement (WASH) et/ou gestion des projets d’appui à la société civile/gouvernance

· Appui aux services municipaux d’eau potable et d’assainissement

· Politiques de décentralisation et transfert de compétences

· Partenariat public-privé pour la prestation des services WASH

· Développement organisationnel au niveau municipal (développement des capacités, réforme interne, et gestion par adaptation)

· Documentation des leçons apprises et transfert du savoir

· Développement des capacités et formation professionnelle

Profile recherché

· Diplôme d’études supérieures (bac + 5 ou plus) dans un domaine pertinent

· Très bonnes compétences de communication - écrites et orales – en français et en anglais

· Au moins 5 ans d’expérience technique et de gestion de projet

· Expérience professionnelle en Afrique francophone

· Expérience de travail sur un projet financé par USAID et/ou autres bailleurs de fonds souhaitée
