Outline of the project:
The EU-Australia Leadership Forum Project is designed to enhance the understanding of the benefits and opportunities of the EU-Australia relationship and the EU's role as a global player amongst key decision makers in Australia and Europe. The core of the project will be the organisation of two High Level events - the EU-Australia Senior Leaders Dialogue and the EU Australia Emerging Leaders Dialogue). These events, run together, will be held once in Australia and once in Europe. The Senior Leaders Dialogue will bring together selected European and Australian Leaders from Government, Opposition, Enterprise, Media, Education and the Civil Society to examine opportunities, expand mechanisms and enhance the benefit of the EU Australia relationship.
Qualifications and skills:
- The key expert will be familiar with EU policy initiatives in Australia,
- University degree at Master level in a related discipline (e.g. public relations, communications, international relations, economics, management),
- High level of command of written and spoken English,
- Computer literacy,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong leadership skills,
- Familiarity working with public institutions in Australia would be an asset.
Professional experience
- 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in public diplomacy, public relations, communication, event management, marketing, policy dialogue,
- 5 or more years’ experience working in Australia in the last 10 years,
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing a team and/or as project manager in the last 10 years
- Availability to live and work in Australia, or travel frequently to the country (for at least 70% of the assigned work).
Project duration: 66 months
