ZIMBABAWE FEED THE FUTURE FOOD SECURITY AND RESILIENCE ACTIVITY
DAI, a global consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, USA, seeks to fill multiple positions to support an upcoming USAID Feed the Future Security and Resilience activity in Zimbabwe. The anticipated project is expected to improve the resilience capacities in vulnerable households and communities through a more demand driven, private sector-led approach. The project will focus on innovative solutions to stimulate MSME farmer productivity, increase access, availability and utilization of diverse nutritious foods, promote integrated water management for agricultural production and household use, and improved gender equity and empowerment of youth. The project’s primary objectives are to expand livelihood opportunities and incomes, improve availability, access, utilization and stability of nutritious foods, and to improve gender equity and empower both women and youth in Zimbabwe.
DAI is seeking experts in:
- Agricultural productivity and Food Security
- Agribusiness and value chain development
- Livestock/animal husbandry, dairy production
- Market Linkages facilitation
- Micro, Small to Medium Sized Enterprise (MSME), and entrepreneurship development
- Innovative private sector-led approaches in access to finance
- WASH activities
- Resilience and Livelihood activities (climate smart and conservation agriculture)
- Nutrition
- Gender and Youth
- Project administration, operations, human resources, financial and grant management, monitoring & evaluation, and communications with experience on USAID-funded contracts preferred
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited university in the related field of expertise is required
- A minimum of five-year experience in the desired position
- Experience working on USAID or donor funded projects
- Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Proficiency in another official Zimbabwean language highly desired
